What is AdrenaLux?
AdrenaLux is a hormone-free, natural supplement designed by Sensilab. They provide adrenal support, which balances cortisol levels, reduces burnout symptoms, and relieves physical and psychological stress. The supplements work by using the most potent type of ashwagandha (Sensoril) and Siberian ginseng to help your body control, handle, and adapt to stress better. This means that the symptoms of stress are reduced, and your energy levels, memory, and concentration are all boosted.
While Sensilab admits that the effects of AdrenaLux can differ for every individual, they claim that their supplements can do the following:
- Reduce stress.
- Control your cortisol levels.
- Boost focus and mood.
- Improve sleep.
- Help with weight loss.
How to Use
Sensilab recommends that you consume 2 AdrenaLux capsules daily. You should take one capsule twice a day with a glass of water after a meal. The recommended daily intake shouldn’t be exceeded.
Ingredient Breakdown
AnrenaLux contains just 5 ingredients: Chamomile, Ashwagandha, B5, Ginseng, and Black Pepper (to aid absorption). Here we will review the key ingredients:
German Chamomile Extract (500 mg)
Chamomile extract is derived from the chamomile plant, which is related to daisies. German chamomile is one of two varieties of chamomile that you can come across and is the most potent of the two. Chamomile extract has a whole host of health benefits and has been used for centuries to help with digestive upset, wound healing, skin conditions, and pain relief. It is also used for anxiety relief and promoting sleep.
A double-blind, placebo-controlled study published in 2012 found that chamomile can significantly reduce depression and anxiety. Another randomized study, published in 2017, found that chamomile extract can significantly improve sleep quality. However, as this study was conducted on a small, narrow group of elderly people, its results are not entirely reliable. Despite this, a review of multiple studies published in 2011 supported these results, finding that chamomile extract could help with sleep quality and reduce anxiety and stress. However, the report did also state that more research was required.
Sensilab also claims that chamomile promotes normal fat metabolism, boosts weight loss, supports digestion, and contributes to relaxation and physical and mental wellbeing.
Sensoril Ashwagandha (250 mg)
AdrenaLux includes the strongest ashwagandha extract on the market, Sensoril. Sensoril is a blend of both the root and leaves, meaning that the extract provides optimal adaptogenic efficacy. As a result, Sensoril ashwagandha is four times stronger than standardized ashwagandha.
Ashwagandha offers a range of health benefits, from easing arthritis to improving heart health. The herb is also known for its ability to reduce stress and anxiety. A recent study from 2019 found that taking 240 mg of ashwagandha significantly reduced stress. Many older studies have produced the same results, including this one from 2012 and another from 2014.
The herb is used in AdrenaLux to improve sleep, contribute to optimal mental and cognitive activity, enhance vitality and focus, and promote psychological and physical wellbeing.
Siberian Ginseng Extract (200 mg)
Eleuthero, most commonly known as Siberian ginseng, is an Asian herb that has been used for centuries as a healing remedy. Although it is a relative of true ginseng, eleuthero is often used as a cheaper and less effective replacement. This suggests that AdrenaLux has sacrificed potential effectiveness for a more affordable price tag.
However, eleuthero is supposed to provide anxiety relief, depression relief, and recovery from stress burnout. A study from 2011 found that the extract can reduce fatigue. Another found that it can boost energy, metabolism, and physical performance. Unfortunately, there is little reliable research regarding its effect on stress.
Sensilab claims that Siberian ginseng is included in AdrenaLux to boost blood circulation and energy, support the immune system, overcome mental and physical exhaustion, and promote recovery.
Price and Value for Money
AdrenaLux is usually priced at £30, making them a reasonable price. However, the current 40% off sale on their website means that they’re only £15.60 at the moment. A bottle of AdrenaLux includes 60 supplements, which amounts to 30 days’ worth, meaning that a single supplement costs only 25 pence with this sale.
While this incredibly reasonable price may look positive on the surface, it could suggest that these supplements aren’t as impressive as they may seem. Generally, the better the supplements are, the more expensive they are as they include high-quality ingredients. So while the supplements may only be £15, that could be £15 down the drain, especially as it’s incredibly difficult to find reliable reviews of the supplements.
Conclusion
While supplements can be a great way to help deal with stress and anxiety, the use of Siberian ginseng rather than true ginseng, the lack of trustworthy reviews, and the astonishingly low price suggests that AdrenaLux by Sensilab may not be as effective as they claim. Nevertheless, at only £15 a bottle, we wouldn’t blame you for wanting to give it a go. However, many other supplements on the market are highly rated and aren’t much more expensive.
