As mentioned, recent years has seen Elisabeth Akinwale participating in different Crossfit games. She’s slowly making a name for herself as a serious competitor. We also talked about Elisabeth’s history in gymnastics, this she had started back when she had been just four years old.

Starting this young made certain that her body is supple and flexible- allowing her to perform certain moves more gracefully- as the muscles in her body had stretched out to allow for said movements. She stopped gymnastics sometime during university, but later got into the world of weightlifting.

This is how she found herself participating in all kinds of competitions, at least until she found the one that was right for her. In the end, it was some time during 2010 that she was introduced to Crossfit. Even though she had not intended to get into another sport so soon, it seemed that she couldn’t stay away.

3 x power clean (205 lbs) EMOM for 10 minutes
