Here we’re taking a look at a product called “Stretch,” produced by a company called Yogabody. They’re veterans of the industry, having been founded back in 2007. This made us naturally curious to see what their Yoga Stretch supplement has to offer.

If the marketing material online is correct, this product should help you:

  • Provide a wide range of essential nutrients

This review will focus on all the key things that you should know about this particular yoga product as we aim to see how it fares against the current #1 rated yoga stretch product on the market.

How Does Yogabody Stretch Supplement Work?

Yogabody stretch supplement is a product that’s been designed to be used daily. It’s only available in capsule form and is meant to be taken up to 2 times per day.

But how does it work? Essentially, Yogabody stretch supplement contains a range of vitamins, minerals, and other ingredients that support your general health. These nutrients might help your body recover faster from your yoga sessions.

This product is also supposed to help improve your joint flexibility by reducing inflammation and soreness.

Now, we’ll need to check the ingredient profile to see if it can really do all of these things. But so far things are looking promising!

Yogabody is a company that was originally founded in 2007. Today they’re an established brand with hundreds of certified teachers and a number of physical yoga studios. Alongside this, they also make Yoga Body stretch supplements like the one we’ll be reviewing today.

Although their main office is in Barcelona Spain, they have warehouses in both the U.K. and California (USA).

Ingredients

There are a total of 6 ingredients in Yogabody Stretch. Alongside vitamin C, we have various compounds and natural ‘superfoods’ that can help you on your yoga journey.

This product doesn’t have any proprietary blends, which is a great thing. A proprietary blend won’t show you the doses of ingredients in it, which prevents you from seeing if it works.

Still, it’s not all great with this formula. It’s missing some core ingredients for joint & muscle flexibility support, which is a bit disappointing.

Vitamin C

This is an essential nutrient with antioxidant effects. It helps your body in a number of ways, including boosting the immune system. Vitamin C is water-soluble so you can easily take it with water or whenever you prefer. (1)

OptiMSM

Also known as Methylsulfonylmethane, this ingredient is known for its anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory qualities. It’s a decent ingredient that can help with certain things. For example it’s thought to promote joint health. We aren’t totally convinced by it though, as the evidence is weak at the moment. (2)

Organic Spirulina

This is a non-toxic green alga. It contains certain chemicals like phycocyanobilin which can help support you on your journey. However, many people label it as a ‘superfood’ – which we find to be a bit misleading. It’s a good source of nutrients, but not much more than that!

Trace Mineral Complex

Sourced from Montmorillonite, this is a source of various minerals that your body needs in very small amounts. These include zinc, chromium, and others. Each serving of this Trace Mineral Complex weighs 90mg – which is a decent amount.

Organic Barley Grass Juice

This is cold-pressed and dried juice sourced from young barley grass. It contains a good amount of nutrients and antioxidants, which can help you with certain things. Although, it’s not the best ingredient for a stretch supplement, as it doesn’t help your muscles or joints in any significant way.

Organic Chlorella

This is another ingredient often labeled as a ‘superfood’. What it is really, is simply a source of certain nutrients that you can also get from many other foods. Chlorella does seem to cause negative side effects in some people, including nausea and breathing problems. (3) Although these are rare, we still don’t think this ingredient is worth being included in a yoga stretch supplement.

How to Take (Dosage)

The label says to take 2-3 capsules of Yogabody Stretch, twice per day with plenty of water.

You should avoid using this product in the evening, as it can cause insomnia and other side effects.

We do feel that 5-6 capsules of this supplement per day are a bit of an ‘overkill’. We suggest starting with just 1-2 capsules per day to check how you react. Or better yet, speak with a qualified health professional to make sure you’re all good to take this kind of supplement.

Side Effects

For most people, yoga body stretch supplements like this one shouldn’t lead to any negative side effects.

However, some of its ingredients can cause side effects if you aren’t used to them. For example, chlorella is known to cause (3):

  • Nausea
  • Gas
  • Asthma and other breathing problems
  • Discoloration of stool

Is This the Best Yoga Stretch Supplement?

We don’t currently rate this product as one of the best Yoga body stretch supplements on the market.

Although it has some basic ingredients, such as vitamin C and a Trace Mineral Complex, it’s not that great for your muscles and joints.

For that, you’ll want to check our review of the Drishti CBD oil. At the moment, it’s the only supplement we know of that can reliably support a person’s yoga practice, reduce muscle inflammation, and support joint health for better flexibility and recovery.

The Bottom Line

Yogabody Stretch is not a bad supplement, but it’s missing some core ingredients that would make it much better. For this reason, we recommend doing more research before buying it.

Overall, here’s what we feel are the pros and cons of this product:

  • Provides a solid nutritional support

The bad:

  • Uses ingredients that are known to cause side effects
  • Missing some core ingredients
